Wow…an absolutely amazing experience. I saw aras of Morocco that I would never have seen other than running like as did through the mountains. One of the hardest things I have ever done but I got to do it in one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The locals, organisers, support team and of course all other competitors made the whole trip one of my life’s best moments. Thank you all.

J’ai eu connaissance du TAM par un ami (Patrick Montaigne) qui vit à Rabat et avec qui j’ai participé à cette course, difficile il est vrai, mais atypique. C’était pour moi la première expérience d’ultra trail, et quelle expérience. Que dire de l’organisation, si ce n’est qu’elle est, comme son organisateur Mohammad Ahansal, humble, et très sympathique. La course permet de découvrir des endroits absolument magnifiques de l’atlas marocain, d’être au contact de la population vivant dans les villages, et de rencontrer d’autres coureurs venus du monde entier. je rentre fier et conquis de cette expérience, même si je pense qu’après avoir réalisé une telle performance, et ça, peu importe le niveau de chacun et le résultat, il sera difficile de trouver une course qui me procurera autant de plaisir.
J’espère avoir l’occasion de participer à nouveau à cette course, afin d’y retrouver peut-être, les organisateurs, les coureurs, et autres personnes croisées pendant ce voyage, car au delà de la course, j’ai eu l’impression de voyager.
Merci vraiment à tous pour cette magnifique aventure.

Vivant au Maroc depuis 4 ans, je souhaitais participer à un grand trail dans ce pays Après quelques petits échauffements sur des trails de 2 jours ( Chefchaouen) puis 3 ( Tizi n trail) Il me fallait désormais attaquer du « gros » et au Maroc ce n’est pas ce qui manque Le TAM s’est vite imposé à moi, le parcours bien sûr, l’organisateur Mohamed Ahansal, très grand champion mais toujours humble, mais également le fait que nous soyons chaque soir au contact des population dans les villages.
Je n’ai été déçu sur aucun de ces aspects: Le parcours est magnifique, toujours surpris bien que je connaisse désormais très bien le Maroc. La beauté nous fait oublier la difficulté et la longueur du parcours. La notion du temps est totalement différente, je me suis étonné quotidiennement sur la rapidité du temps passé. Les journées défilent plus rapidement que les coureurs. L’ensemble de l’organisation est au top, tous très sympathiques, très serviables, à nos petits soins.
Mohamad et son équipe sont exceptionnels. Les rencontres dans les villages, les enfants, resteront un très bon souvenir pour moi, et que dire des muletiers qui nous attendant au col avec cette eau si bonne à ces altitudes. Là encore un geste très important et très apprécié, Mohamad y a pensé. Maintenant, revenons à la course Dans ma maison avant le départ en regardant le descriptif, je me disais : « tu passes les deux premiers jours et ensuite tout devrait aller » La réalité est tout autre, de plus Mohamad nous gratifie le 3 éme jour au départ : « c’est maintenant que ça commence !!!! » moi qui pensais avoir fait le plus dur !! J’ai adoré ce trail, j’en suis déjà nostalgique ! J’ai appris beaucoup de choses sur ce trail, et notamment que les kilomètres marocains sont plus long que les autres.
Pour une première expérience du trail en étapes, je pense que j’ai mis la barre un peu haute, mais j’en suis très fier et très heureux d’être un finisher du TAM 2016.

Hi Max,
Just returned from Morocco and wanted to thank you for an unforgettable experience.
The TAM was superbly executed. Not only the organization and the logistics but also the vibe. In spite of objective difficulties everything was handled with care, with smile and with good spirits.
The “Challenge” was a fantastic experience for those who cannot complete the full distance. In my opinion it should be marketed side-by-side the full distance TAM.

Last word about the people you work with: Mohamad is a charming, charismatic and pleasant and his character radiates on everybody. He surrounds himself with people like him: patient, with empathy, caring, hardworking, really hands-on top professionals.
This was a very special experience for everybody in our group. Thank you Max for everything.

Dear Max and Mohamad,
Huub and I already told Mohamad a week ago, but again I would like to thank you very, very much for the perfect organization of the TAM!!
It was a fantastic experience and the organization was very good; I have to admit, that it was far more professional organized then I expected.
The atmosphere within the group was very positive and special. Everyone was enthusiastic – not only the participants, but also the team of the organization.
Special thanks for the medical team: they (also) did an amazing job – not only from the medical point of view, but also in (mental) supporting.
I had a lot of blisters and without them, I would have had much more problems in accomplishing all the stages.
And during the race, they even checked if I used enough sunscreen!
The were a very positive, enthusiastic team, enjoying their work and enjoying being with us there. Always looking around if they could help someone.
Please forward my special thanks to the medical team and their institute. Do you know if I can leave some positive remarks somewhere on a website or so?
But back to Mohamad and his team: THANKS again for the exceptional experience.
I hope to meet you again for another run.
NB: as I told Mohamad, I would very much like to be mentioned on the website, if someone from the Netherlands would want some information on the TAM: I would be happy to provide positive information.
